1. Charts

A chart is built from the selected range: the first column holds the labels (months, items) and the first row holds the series names.

• Column compares amounts: revenue by month;
• Line shows change over time, especially for several series at once;
• Pie shows the parts of a whole: the structure of expenses (one series, only a few categories);
• Bar is the same as a column chart, but horizontal: handy for long labels.

Select the data together with its headers and click Chart. The chart appears below the table and updates when the data changes.
